I manage a restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I was in the city and headed to a different restaurant, but as I was walking past Travelers Poets & Friends, something pulled me in. I hesitated for a minute, but I decided to go in—and I’m so glad I did. My intuition told me to give it a chance. The music, lighting, and overall vibe were just beautiful—exactly what I needed. I was greeted by Daniella with a warm smile and genuine kindness, and she seated me right away. I was there to treat myself and celebrate something personal, and she truly made a positive difference in my experience. I ordered the Market Salad, Skirt Steak, Tiramisu, and Ice Cream. The salad was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly—honestly, one of the best I’ve had in the city. The tiramisu was top-notch, and the ice cream was amazing. My only suggestion would be to serve the ice cream in a glass cup rather than a paper one. I’d also like to thank the assistant server and food runner. They were kind, polite, and attentive. The entire service team was outstanding—I never had to ask for anything. And a special thank-you to the chef for the amazing plates. Every dish was prepared with care and intention, and it truly showed. The flavors, presentation, and balance were all spot on. You made the meal memorable. I left extremely happy and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you, Daniella and the service team for making my evening so special and for accommodating my needs.
Discover the coziest cafe in Greenwich Village! The staff is super attentive and will make you feel right at home. Indulge in the most delicious mortadella and focaccia sandwich you’ll ever taste—trust me, it’s a must-try! Get it toasted for that extra bang of flavor. Don’t miss out on this charming spot while you’re in the area! .
Love this place! Feels like the right spot for artists, dreamers, and travelers. Every detail is thoughtful, from the decor to the menu. The vibe is warm and inviting, the food is fresh and flavorful and the staff is lovely. A true hidden treasure in the city. Ps: thank you Ana for your latte art
Maritozzo Con Panna. Have you savored one? No? Then run swiftly to Travelers Poets & Friends on Sixth Avenue to snag one during the breakfast hours. This is a sweet brioche bun cut open and filled with a sweet whipped cream. Simple and luscious. Perfect with a cappuccino. Last week, one was kept for me and i ate it with hot Earl Grey Tea. The Maritozzi are found in bars and patisseries in Rome and are from the Lazio region. I used to have these at Lodi restaurant midtown but when they enlarged their restaurant and took out the bakery gone were these maritozzi. I cried. TPF is a lovely restaurant cafe where one can sit at the bar or get a table and enjoy these cream buns every morning. Ana, Carmine and Michela work here and were kind to keep one for me. Grazie Molto!
What do you think of when it comes to Italian food? Pizza or pasta? But this restaurant is way more than those. It brings a whole new understanding of what is Italian food with ingredients sourced from local farms and directly from Italy, freshly made in house. Their pasta is soft like marshmallow, and their pizza dough is crisp like cookies. And they taste like heaven, comforting, hearty and satisfying yet light and healthy. The interior design is very upscale in the dinner section. I highly recommend giving it a try!
I went for the pasta making class on Monday and it was so much fun! We made 3 types of pastas, then had a 3 course meal after, all with unlimited wine. Such a fun activity, I went with my girlfriends but there were couples and a mother/som group too. I’d definitely go back for another class.
I went to a pasta making class yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. Not your typical cooking class. We made our on pasta guided by the chef, learned how to make different shapes, and then were treated with a FEAST. Abundant food with entries, main courses, and over 8 different flavors of gelato (as only Italians know how to do). We all sat the same table and enjoyed great food and wine with strangers that became friends by the end of the night.
Bakery, coffee shop, restaurant combined into the most lovely Italian spot. A few outdoor bistro chairs and plenty of seating inside at the cafe and bar. Perfect for a catch up with friends, reading, or a casual lunch. They have a small upscale Italian market with fresh pasta and sauces too. Burrata sandwich with mortadella and pistachios on focaccia was excellent.
